I came across this excellent piece on Crispy Gamer about player perception in video games, and I declare it a must read! The author makes some great points about enhanced viewing modes done right, and when they're done just a little too well, a la Halo 3: ODST's VISR (essentially night vision+) mode. More on that later in the False Travels full review later this week, but for now, enjoy an interesting and insightful look at the way we perceive our games.
